Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how 25 Fathoms, LLC ("ProveClaim," "we," "us") handles information when you use proveclaim.app and app.proveclaim.app (the "Site"). It applies to site visitors, account holders, and anyone who submits a patent filing for a Snapshot or a Read. In short: we use your filing only to produce your report, we never sell your information, we treat your filing as confidential, and you can ask us to delete your account whenever you want.

Information We Collect

We collect three kinds of information. Account details you give us, such as your name and email. Site usage data, such as logs, IP address, browser type, and which reports you ran, which never contains the contents of your filing. And the materials you submit, meaning the patent filing you provide as files or text, including claims, specification, abstract, drawings, and the priority date.

How We Use Information

We use your account information to deliver the service, to reply to you, and to bill you. We use usage data to operate, secure, and improve the Site. We use the filing materials you submit only to produce your report, including automated analysis with an AI model provided by Anthropic. We do not sell any of this information, and we do not use the materials you submit to train external machine-learning models.

How We Handle Your Filing

We retain your filing materials and the report we build from them so that we can deliver the report, support you afterward, and stand behind our work if a question comes up later. We treat filing materials as confidential. We do not sell them, and we do not share them with third parties for their own use. Where your filing is a pending, unpublished application, we handle it as confidential business information. Where your patent is already issued or published, the underlying document is public, though your account and contact details are still protected. We keep your filing materials and delivered report for two years after delivery, then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time; once they are deleted we can no longer refresh or support that report.

Information From Public Patent Records

We use public United States Patent and Trademark Office records, such as the names and mailing addresses of inventors and patent owners listed on issued patents and published applications, to identify inventors who may benefit from ProveClaim and to contact them. We keep this information for two years from our last contact unless you ask us to stop sooner. To opt out of further contact, reply to any message from us or write to privacy@proveclaim.app, and we will stop contacting you.

Cookies and Analytics

The Site uses cookies for basic function and analytics. A consent banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies, and non-essential cookies do not load without your consent. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as a valid opt-out. We do not use your information for targeted or behavioral advertising.

Sharing and Subprocessors

We share information with the service providers that help us run the Site and deliver reports, such as our payment processor, AI model provider (Anthropic), hosting, authentication, and email services. Each processes data only to provide its service to us, and our AI provider account is set so your materials are not used to train its models. We disclose information to authorities only when the law requires it.

Data Retention

We keep your filing materials and delivered reports as described above under How We Handle Your Filing. We keep account and usage records for as long as your account is active and as needed to run the Site. When you delete your account we remove information that identifies you, though we may keep de-identified, aggregate records. We keep site and security logs for 12 months.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest where our providers support it, and role-based access controls. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you without undue delay and in compliance with applicable law.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. We honor Global Privacy Control signals.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information. California residents have rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the rights to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing. To exercise any right, write to privacy@proveclaim.app. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

International Data Transfers

ProveClaim and our primary providers operate in the United States. If you use the Site from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or another approved transfer mechanism.

Children's Privacy

The Site is for adults and is not directed to anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes appear on this page with a revised date, and where appropriate we give affected customers advance notice by email. The date above shows the latest version.
